UNITY Events

The UNITY events ministry of the KINGDOM Group is the heart of the organization that coordinates and hosts meetings, conferences, and other intentional gatherings for dialogue, reconciliation, and relationship building among diverse people groups (races).

Recognizing the increased racial unrest, tension, and polarization in our world, the KINGDOM Group has designed initiatives to address these issues. This is the motivation behind the UNITY Events ministry. Several activities are ongoing to promote unity among people of all groups in the world.

Executive Director Elmo Winters wrote and published, “OVERCOMING RACIAL AND CULTURAL BARRIERS to Disciple Men”, a book targeting men for leadership in bridging the diversity gap between all people. Building healthy relationships to promote effective men’s groups was another aim of this publication. Ultimately the goal is to promote racial and cultural healing and unity.

About the same time that the book was published the KINGDOM Group in a partnership with Gulf South Men of Louisiana started hosting monthly gatherings of men to promote unity. These intentional events billed as Men’s UNITY Breakfasts were established to get diverse people groups and denominations to come together around a meal to dialogue on the multitude of issues that divide people. Additional group meetings of this nature are being added to include others in our society (women, families, etc).
