Don Shirk is proudly married to Kathy Shirk, the father of two children and grandfather of six grandchildren. He is a graduate of the Naval Academy with 21 years of Marine Corps active-duty service and another 21 years as a civilian Marine working in weapons system and equipment acquisition. Don has lived in Stafford VA the past 35 years. He is active in his church leading the men’s ministry, teaching, Bible study, and discipleship classes. Don has also authored a daily devotional since 2015. He is a member of the Noble Warriors North regional team, serving local churches.

Don is actively involved in Afghan Refugee resettlement in his area. His focus is on discipleship, anti-racism, and building partnerships across the community of faith, local government, and other nonprofit partners for unity and service. He is a regular virtual Men’s UNITY B participant and is a Zoom room breakout leader.
